”The holiday season is just around the corner, and we have curated a very special edition of the Affordable Art Fair’s Christmas Market just for you. What better way to give the gift of art to someone you love, in the comfort of your own home, online.”
Think about their style
Think of the personal style of the recipient you are buying the gift for. Are they minimalists who may like a drawing with clean simple lines? Or a colourful pop art for the fashionistas? Maybe a landscape painting for your pool loving friend?
Get personal and think of happy memories you’ve shared to inspire your choice. Had a holiday together to somewhere exotic? A surreal landscape painting may work. And if you all love long walks in the park? A painting of a beautiful garden may appeal to that person.
Set a budget
Whilst we understand that you may see an incredible piece and know it’s perfect for your loved one, do set a budget. Filter by price on our website to help you stick to it. Or why not get family and friends involved? Share the costs of a more expensive piece of artwork – our Under £500 edit is a great place to start.
Plus, remember to check the description to note whether you are looking at framed or unframed artwork. If you want to gift art ready-framed, ensure to factor in the time and cost it will take to do this.
Consider your timeframe
Art isn’t traditionally the sort of thing you can grab at the last minute as the shops are closing… Filter by country on our website to shop local and plan ahead to avoid disappointment. Our global shipping deadline is 6 December, but do reach out if you see something after this date and we’ll do what we can to help.
Talk to the experts
You’d be surprised how a chat with a gallerist could help with your ideas. If you’re stuck, they could help!
