About Adele Riley

Adele Riley is a British-born artist who lives and works in Gloucestershire. She is inspired by the breathtaking nature which surrounds her. Beliving that she is well-placed to benefit from a huge variety of light, texture, and drama. She developed her practice while studying illustration at Epsom School of Art. Since then Adele has continued to learn and develop illustration at Epsom School of Art.

Adele states, "I learned more by challenging the rules of fine art, as well as applying them. It helped drive my enthusiasm until I arrived at a style of painting that represents me as an artist." When it comes to a subject, Adele is happy when looking for an expansive coastline, packed woodland or open fields every bit as much as getting in close to a feeding blackbird, a butterfly settling, or flowers budding. The most important ingredient is finding the emotion of the scene offered by the light and atmosphere of the moment.

Throughout 2018 and 2019 Adele has begun to exhibit her artworks throughout the UK. Including exhibitions such as Cheltenham Open Studios and a Contemporary Landscapes exhibition at Brick Lane Gallery.
