About the artwork
While other plants may wilt in the winters, holly remains green and strong, its berries a brightly colored red in the harshest of conditions. With Christmas knocking at our doors, it’s the time to deck the halls with boughs of holly. This year more than ever we wish for the season to be jolly and this painting captures that spirit with its red and green colour scheme. Just like the plant, may this little piece of art be the harbinger of good luck and protection for you.

About Kashmira Doshi

Kashmira Mehta Doshi (b. 1986), a Hong Kong-based Indian artist, graduated from L.S. Raheja School of Arts, India (2009) with a Bachelor of Fine Arts following it up with a Master’s degree in Marketing. She quit her corporate career after five years to pursue her passion in art. She explores diverse mediums of art without restricting to any particular genre.

Her current collection is centred around the mandala art form that has been associated with a pattern that is linked to the zen feeling of healing. We have all been witnessing some unprecedented chaos caused by the pandemic. These mandalas are her way of displaying patterns, methodology and healing.

True to its description, mandala art helps achieve focus and puts us on a path of self-discovery and inner peace. The work that is being showcased is a vibrant proof of her spiritual journey.
