About the artworkChris Sims is known for his large paintings on canvas and board. In addition, he paints studies on paper which are sold unframed and make a very affordable opportunity to own one of Chris's beautiful paintings. You can frame them the way you would like and keep the delivery costs to a minimum. We recommend framing with a window mount, a narrow frame and low-reflective glass. To work out the space a framed painting would accommodate on your wall, we suggest adding 20 cm to each dimension to give you a rough estimate.
Chris Sims is a contemporary English abstract painter, using colour and instinctive mark making to evoke or capture a moment in time in the rural English landscape.
His paintings are often considered to be reminiscent of the St Ives painter Peter Lanyon. Graduating from Wolverhampton Polytechnic in 1985, Chris worked as a graphic designer for approximately 20 years, but has now been painting professionally for the last 10 years and has a growing collector's market in the UK.
